CA f. 3 r: Digging machine

This sheet offers the spectacular graphical rendering of a wooden machine with scaffolding and crane for excavating a canal. Within a great supporting scaffolding, an enormous wooden wheel moves a series of cranes and gears that, by means of ropes, raise and transport crates full of soil from the centre of the canal where workmen are digging, to the edges of the canal itself, where the soil is accumulated.
