On the lower sheet there is a detailed drawing of a fountain with its operating mechanism and a flow valve, which could also have served to operate a pump. In the Codex Atlanticus there are several other fountain projects that show an interest, by the artist and by the commissioner, in combining technological knowledge with results of aesthetic and scenographic interest. The upper sheet contains studies of geometric proportions, quick technological notations and notes, not by Leonardo.
