For 113 years, Confindustria has been the main association representing businesses in Italy: it features some 150,000 member enterprises of all sizes and operating in the major sectors, which employ more than five million people and contribute 34% of GDP. It is also the largest shareholder of Italy’s foremost financial newspaper, Il Sole24Ore, and supports the education and training of young people through its two universities: Luiss Guido Carli and LIUC Università Cattaneo.

The exhibition “Imagining the future. Leonardo da Vinci: in the mind of an Italian genius” (the first monographic exhibition on Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex Atlanticus in the United States) is the result of a journey that began long ago: it is based on the Organization’s core values and aims to describe this endeavor in a brand-new way, through the monumental work of one of mankind’s greatest geniuses. Leonardo is the symbol of Italian talent and expertise, and art is an extraordinary means for communicating with people, connecting peoples and generations. Through this initiative – a national economic operation giving diplomatic, cultural and social momentum – Confindustria wants to help spread the entrepreneurial spirit, which in turn can drive economic and civil growth in every country.
