Today, June 20th 2023, an international press conference took place at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, DC for the official opening of the exhibit: “Imagining the future: Leonardo da Vinci, in the Mind of an Italian Genius”
This significant cultural event showcases of the entrepreneurial spirit as an engine for economic, social and civil progress in every country. Indeed, Da Vinci is among the figures who best embodied the desire to do business and the ability to convert his most profound insights into concrete and revolutionary projects. This is the same drive that motivates business leaders, who must constantly navigate between tradition and innovation, vision, dreams and common sense. This fine balance is perfectly reflected in this great Washington exhibit and key to raising awareness of Italian identity and heritage.
With the opening of its new office in Washington, Confindustria wanted to bring to America the symbol of Italian genius: Leonardo da Vinci. The exhibit is curated by the director of the Biblioteca Pinacoteca Ambrosiana Monsignor Alberto Rocca, and sponsored by Intesa Sanpaolo, ITA Airways, 24 ORE Cultura, DOLCE&GABBANA, Dompé , Pirelli and Trenitalia S.p.A.
The exhibit opens its doors to the public today at the Martin Luther King JR Memorial Library in Washington D.C., which is a public institution, a social gathering place, and a true hub for U.S. institutions.
